Farewell, Nola: A Soul Gone Too Soon, But Not Forgotten

Farewell, Nola: A Soul Gone Too Soon, But Not Forgotten

Today, with heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news that Nola didn’t make it.

Despite every effort—despite every medication, every gentle touch, and every whispered word of comfort—Nola went into sudden respiratory arrest this afternoon. We did everything we could. We fought for her with all the tools and compassion available to us. And when it became clear that we couldn’t save her, we made sure she didn’t suffer.

She passed peacefully, wrapped in warmth, surrounded by love, and finally free from pain. Most importantly, she wasn’t alone. She wasn’t left to fade away in the cold, in the storm, or in fear. She was held, seen, and cherished in her final moments—something every soul deserves.

To everyone who donated, who sent love, who hoped for her recovery: thank you. Your support gave her comfort, safety, and a chance to feel cared for, perhaps for the first time in her life. Because of you, she didn’t die abandoned in the rain—she passed with dignity.

Run free, sweet Nola.
We’re so sorry that part of the human race failed you. That you were discarded, neglected, and left behind. You deserved so much more.

To those responsible: may karma find its way.

And to Nola—we’ll remember you. You mattered.
