Tragic Loss: Beloved Rescue Dog Pippi Passes Away

Tragic Loss: Beloved Rescue Dog Pippi Passes Away

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pippi, a rescue dog who touched many lives in her brief time with us.
Pippi was rescued just over five weeks ago in critical condition.
She had a massive cancerous tumor on her back and a bullet lodged dangerously close to her spine.
Emaciated and frail, Pippi had clearly endured unimaginable hardship.

Despite her condition, Pippi’s spirit remained gentle and trusting.
Our team began the long journey of helping her regain strength and weight.
The goal was to stabilize her for chemotherapy and eventual surgery to remove the bullet.
Sadly, the cancer was far more aggressive than expected.

While we couldn’t save her, we gave her a life filled with dignity and love in her final days.
Pippi enjoyed peaceful walks through open fields and tasted nutritious food, possibly for the first time in her life.
She was showered with affection from dedicated carers and volunteers.
She was not just a case — she had a name, an identity, and a story.

Pippi passed away peacefully late yesterday afternoon.
She was surrounded by love and compassion until the very end.
Her short time with us reminded us of the importance of kindness and second chances.

We thank everyone who donated and supported her care.
Your generosity helped give her the peaceful farewell she deserved.
Rest in peace, beautiful Pippi.
Run free, sweet girl — you are no longer in pain.
You will not be forgotte
