Still King on and off the Court

In the middle of a high-stakes basketball game, where adrenaline was pumping and fans were shouting, one young athlete stood out—not just because of her speed or precision, but because of her heart.
She played with intensity, eyes fixed on the basket, but her purpose went beyond points or trophies. When the final whistle blew and her team celebrated a hard-fought win, she walked straight toward the scoreboard—not to soak in the applause, but to point to a glowing message she had asked to display earlier:
“JESUS IS STILL KING. CAN I GET AMEN?”
In that moment, the gym quieted. Phones came out. Whispers turned to smiles. It was as if something bigger than the game had just taken center court.
For this young woman, basketball is a gift, but Jesus is her guide. She wakes up each morning not just to train her body, but to strengthen her spirit. Her teammates know it. Her coaches respect it. Her opponents feel it. She brings a presence—calm, steady, joyful—because she plays not for fame, but for faith.
While others might have used the spotlight to promote themselves, she used it to remind the world of a timeless truth: That even in a world full of change, challenges, and noise—Jesus is still King.
In a time when bold faith is rare, she didn’t whisper it. She declared it. Loud, proud, and with a smile full of grace.
And that night, on that court, surrounded by steel bleachers and bright gym lights, a single sentence lit up more than just a scoreboard—it lit up hearts.
Can I get an amen?
