“Today Is My Birthday… But No One Remembered.”

“Today Is My Birthday… But No One Remembered.”

It’s supposed to be a special day. My day. The one day a year when I hope someone will say,
“Hey, I’m glad you were born. You matter.”

But today, I woke up to silence.

No messages. No calls. No surprises. Just the same routine — except a little heavier, a little sadder.

I looked at the calendar and whispered to myself, “Happy birthday.”
No one else said it. Not yet. Maybe not at all.

I bought a small treat for myself — a slice of cake, one candle. Not for a party. Just to feel like today meant something.

I sat in the quiet and asked, “Does anyone even know it’s today?”
Maybe they forgot. Maybe they’re busy. Maybe they don’t care.

But I care. I’m still here. I survived another year.
And that’s something to be proud of — even if no one claps for me.

To anyone else who feels invisible on their birthday:
You are not alone. You are not forgotten.
I see you. I celebrate you. I honor everything you’ve overcome just to be here today.

You don’t need a room full of people to validate your worth.
You were born with it.

So here’s to you, and to me — the quiet ones, the hopeful hearts, the birthday souls waiting in silence:
Happy Birthday. You are loved, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
And maybe next year, this message will find someone at the exact moment they need it.
