Today marked a life-changing milestone—not just for us, but for a very special soul named Eli. After weeks of waiting patiently at the local shelter, quietly watching other dogs come and go, her moment finally arrived.

We hadn’t planned to adopt that day. We told ourselves we were just “looking.” But fate had other plans. As we passed the kennels, there she was—sitting quietly, her big, soulful eyes meeting ours with a silent question: Is it my turn? In that instant, we knew the answer. It was.
