Farewell, Queen Arrowhead (T-84) – A Legend Sleeps
With deep sorrow, we bid goodbye to one of Ranthambore’s most beloved icons — Tigress Arrowhead (T-84), daughter of the majestic Krishna and granddaughter of the legendary Machli, has passed away.
Her final moments came just hours after her daughter, RBT 2507, was relocated to Mukundra Hills as part of a conservation effort — a symbolic passing of the torch from a mother to her child. Arrowhead had been silently battling bone cancer, showing the same fierce strength and dignity that defined her entire life.
More than just a tiger, Arrowhead was a queen of the wild, known for her graceful movements, protective nature, and fearless spirit. Generations of wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, and conservationists watched in awe as she raised her cubs and ruled her territory with quiet power.
Her lineage, carrying the bloodline of Machli, is one of India’s most celebrated tiger dynasties — a reminder of how vital every individual tiger is to the story of our forests.
Though her body has returned to the earth, Arrowhead’s legacy roars on — in her cubs, in the memories of those lucky enough to see her, and in the continued fight to protect her kind.
Sleep well, Queen Arrowhead. The forest bows to you.
